Recognise the hive parts and demonstrate how to deconstruct and construct a full beehive
Look for disease and recognise problems
Identify signs of bees looking to swarm and demonstrate methods of swarm control
Demonstrate hiving your nucleus into a hive
How to set your hive up ready for honey

Practical Beekeeping Day
Total: £125
(which includes a £50 deposit)
The days will be run from a location in the Tyne and Wear area. From 10-3pm at dates to be confirmed but from Mid-April and these will include weekend and midweek dates. No more than 3 people per instructor.
